A native of Detroit, Jane Van Voorhis resides in Columbus Ohio where she holds a private studio of dedicated students. Ms. Van Voorhis performs with groups such as Columbus Symphony, Dayton Philharmonic, New Albany Symphony Orchestra and is principal cellist for the Newark Granville Symphony Orchestra and the Worthington Chamber Orchestra. She has also been a member of the Classical Music Festival in Austria both as an Orchestra and Chamber musician. Jane is often finding herself in a collaboration with different small ensemble settings…. whether it be an improv session, a recording, or simply ready to play scenario. She is also the co-founder of the Charcuterie Duo with Steve Fout on guitar. Ms. Van Voorhis earned her Bachelor and Master degrees from The Ohio State University.
